A classic Barolo

Vineyard: Sorano, Serralunga d'Alba | Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Harvest Time: 15th/25th october

Fermentation: A 60% with the “ submerged cap” technique (post fermentation maceration) for 40 days.

Ageing: 6 months in steel, 28 months in Slavonian oak , 85% old , 15% new
10 months (at least) in bottles

Bottling Period: August

Characteristics:
- Garnet red colour
- Ethereal bouquet, intense tar with a scent of dry flowers and a mineral note
- A rich palate, balance and mature tannins contribute to its harmony, distinction and intensity
- A remarkably classy, austere wine, with exceptional richness and tipicity

DECANTER PRAISES ASCHERI'S BAROLO AND BARBERA
The February issue of the prestigious English magazine Decanter awards important recognitions to the Ascheri Winery.
Barolo Sorano took the lead during the 2004 Barolo Wines tasting event earning the top 5 stars awarded by wine writer Tom Maresca and it was followed closely by Sorano Coste & Bricco which got 4 stars. In his notes concerning the tasting, Mr. Maresca writes:"The two wines stand out for their balance and they will be able to develop a great potential in the next 20-30 years".
